A Peek at Preppie Fashion Trends

To be a true fashion prince, you have to try to see the value in every emerging trend. For bonus points, you should consider giving it a try. Remember, there are merits to every style, and at least one place where wearing a particular style is perfectly acceptable, even encouraged.

The same goes for the prevalent preppy style. One apparently must have piece for preppies the world over this summer and fall is, evidently, a baseball jacket. It is the height of Americana, and there is something wholesome and thus attractive about what it provokes.

Also in for the preppy passion this season are lightweight sweaters, such as cardigans and shawl necks. White is an acceptable color here. This article is appropriate for actually wearing or for casually looping over the shoulders.

Pringle of Scotland Fashion For Men!

In this day and age, it is so hard to find fashion for men – honestly! Men are picky but guys, you should absolutely take a look at Pringle of Scotland. This designer really knows what he is doing and while he is mostly well-known in Europe, I have to say that this guy has some British attitude that just leaks out of his clothing. Whether you are looking to look nice or preppy, he has you covered!

Take these two looks for instance; these two are just two of the many looks in his latest and greatest fall/winter collection. He uses an array of different types of fabrics, all the way from flannel, which will keep you warm and toasty to silk. I love the fact that his pants look different too, he can go from using regular old denim all the way to using velvet and corduroy to construct his pants and I love that!

So remember — Pringle of Scotland… this guy is going places and when he gets big in the US, you’ll see!

Canali Summer Night Cologne: It’s The Best!

So let’s talk about the Canali Summer Night Cologne – this cologne is by far some of the best cologne in the world and it is brand freakin’ new from the stylish House of Canali. This cologne captures all sorts of scents in it and really reminds me of a hot, summer night that is dreamy yet awesome. There are hints of amber and wood in the beginning, but after you get over those, the scent is just enriched with a leafy green violet along with some sea breeze.

Some more scents that you might notice include bergamot, coriander, nutmeg, cedarwood, sandalwood, iris, tonka bean, oak tree musk, leather, musk, lily of the valley and apple, melon and pineapple. The scents all mixed are absolutely impossible to describe and while I think might men might shy away from something this fruity and flowery – if you put it on, you will absolutely notice that it suits most chemistry of a man.

Deep V-Neck: It’s In Guys!

So really, I have posted some crazy shirts in here but I never thought that I would be posting about deep v-neck anything for guys … girls? I can understand that as us girls definitely are looking to show off our goods most of the time, but do we honestly need guys walking around with plunging neckline shirts? Not exactly.

Now there are quite a few things that you can do if you are the type of guy that is looking to stay in style and purchase a few of these deep v-neck shirts. How about layering? We women do it all the time; we will wear something like in the picture above and pair it with a tee shirt. While that may not be the most stylish thing to do, at least your deep v-neck shirt will be in style!

So go on guys get on the internet and research a little bit and you will see that the plunging neckline is in for you. Whether you are showing off that ‘manly’ chest or you are looking to stay in style, go for the v-neck!

Missoni V-neck Sweater

Striped sweaters are so coming back, and I’m loving it. I’m a thing guy, don’t get me wrong, I work out a little, but I’m slim. With my kind of figure, not only can I pull of striped sweaters without looking like a bloated pig — they actually make me look more muscular and strong. It’s a dream come true.

Now, V-necks are something else. A lot of people wear them with a simple t-shirt, but I try to combine them with a shirt (preferrable white on colors, black on gray/white). It adds a lot more class, and takes away the casual feel of the sweater a bit. Give it a try!

Martin Margiela Spring/Summer 2008

If you like a little unordinary look about you, then Martin Margiela is the one to watch out for. The designs, although not unusual, were completely topped off with the wildest shoe colors. The clothes themselves are great, the detailing in the black shirt in the picture below is fabulous. I don’t dislike “loud” shoes, I think they’re great. Some may not agree, but they do seem to grab your attention, don’t they? Anyway, as far as the overall collection, it’s a good one. Everything seems very versatile and wearable. And I won’t even make a smart crack about the shoes.

Marithe and Francois Girbaud Spring/Summer 2008

Now, I’m not really sure that every guy out there will love this line. The clothes are more geared toward the younger generation, but they are all really cool clothes. From the droopy jeans to the printed shirts, everything is great. Again, I’m just not sure the older crowd will love it. The cuffed jeans are really fabulous, and all the pieces are great for casual wear, I don’t know if they are office appropriate, but nobody works all the time, right? Anyway, this is a great line if you like the street look, and the guys really look like they are having a blast showing them off.

Narcisso Rodriguez Spring/Summer 2008 Men’s Collection

This is a wonderful collection for the classically minded gentleman. Not that you have to be a gentleman, but the suits would sure make you look like one. Everything, from the classic suits to the shorter versions of the classic suits, make this a wonderful collection. It’s definitely a nice change from some of the designer collections that are out there. This menswear line is full of pieces that are completely wearable to any occasion. The designs look highly comfortable, and would conveniently go from office to night on the town. Perfect.

Moschino Spring/Summer 2008 Catwalk Collection

The Moschino collection for Spring/Summer includes a great line of colors. From the bright orange shoes to the very cool colored hats, everything in this line screams color. The trousers are designed to fit, which is excellent, and the shirts are all very colorful and very well designed. There are lots of white trousers in this collection, as well as some brightly colored shorts. The whole line is full of great, bright colors for spring and summer. And just think, you won’t have to worry about getting lost at night, the bright orange shoes will light your way

Fendi Spring/Summer 2008

The Fendi menswear line for spring is fabulous. From the classic blazers to the casual shorts, everything is perfect. The colors are great, even the bright yellows. After all, men like to wear color too, right? There is no rule that says men can’t wear canary yellow. Now, the shorts with the blazer look is great. I love that one. There is also a suit with a sheer pullover shirt over the shirt and tie, but under the jacket (hope that wasn’t too confusing). That suit is great, the picture is below so you can check it out for yourself.
