Next up, you are going to want a winter suit, one at the very least. To be versatile, get a modern cut with three buttons, in wool. The color palette should be black, grey, or navy.

As far as more casual pants, like jeans and khakis, you can go for wool or even cashmere here, but at least make sure the fabric is thicker. And those fashionable rips? Not so great in winter.

Layers are your friends when it is cold. Sweaters and shirts should be layered, and cashmere works wonders. They should be thin enough to go under sport coats or button downs.

Speaking of which, sport coats in tweed and blazers are ideal as well. Even vests are acceptable.

Boots are a must. Leather or suede is best in a neutral like brown or black.

Feel free to dress everything up — and warm it up — further with a scarf, gloves, and even a hat.

Now, there is looking good in select pieces, and then there is building a whole winter wardrobe. This is actually a lot easier than it may sound. All you really need to do is find high quality clothing that will be warm enough to keep you comfortable and toasty in the weather. Your lifestyle, your job, your activities, et cetera, will all make a difference when it comes to the pieces you choose. You may need lots of jeans and sweaters, you may need button downs and khakis — that all depends on you. Naturally, your first step will be choosing a good, quality overcoat or jacket. Down jackets are great, as are wool coats; both will keep you warm during the weather. If you need a formal look, go with a collared coat that has buttons.

Leather – where to begin on the leather trend.  We all know that leather is a huge, huge trend for women this winter, but I have to say that men are getting the best of it too.  Leather jackets are certainly a staple for men this winter and it really doesn’t matter the style.

This is just one of the many styles that you can choose from and one of the many colors – because really, you can pick any color as long as it is leather.  The great thing about leather jackets is that they are extremely warm, which fits in very well with the wintertime.

So this season, if you have a leather jacket guys that you have been dying to wear, get it out, for this is the newest trend in menswear!

Now that we have covered all of the fall trends in the way of menswear, let’s go ahead and touch base on the winter wear for men, because it is right around the corner isn’t it?

One of the first looks that I want to talk about is the sweater look.  Just because you are wearing a sweater does not mean that you are sissy, nor does it mean that you need to look like you just came from your grandma’s house.

Sweaters are not something that is embarrassing and while they may have a bad rep, they are slowly coming back into style.  Like this one – a simple grey wool sweater with some black pants is a classic and one that you should definitely have in your closet!

Now we are going to focus above the waist, and this one is going to be a twofer.

Fall is comprised of layered looks, and a striped shirt lets you do that in any number of ways. Plus, it will look great with dress pants or your favorite pair of jeans.

Ah, Adam Lambert, your style and beauty do strange, strange things to my soul. You guys might be tempted to snicker or even laugh out loud, but this is one pretty fashion prince who definitely has his finger on the pulse of the hottest trends in men’s fashion for fall and winter.

Pinstriped pants, gentlemen. Pinstriped pants. A classic staple, timeless, classic, and oh, so stylish.

You can wear them on casual outings. You can wear them for formal occasions. You can go for standard white on black, or choose more eclectic, innovative color combinations. You can go for thin stripes or thick ones.

Basically, there is no end to the possibilities here. You will be a knockout. Just make sure the fit is right — and flattering — and that you carry the right attitude while you are wearing them.

Now that we have talked about showers, let’s go ahead and talk about how you can pick the right cologne for you.  Cologne is a personal thing and it is not something that should be taken lightly.  After all, you want to make sure that you smell good and choosing the wrong cologne is something that can really – really mess you up in the long run.

One of the first things that you need to think about whenever you are choosing some cologne is what smells good on you.  Fruit?  Nutty scents?  Woody scents?  These are all things that you want to take into consideration whenever you are dealing with making yourself smell better.

Next, trying all sorts of different colognes on is definitely going to help you in the long run.  To be quite frank – going to the store and asking someone is going to help you too, there are specialized cologne experts you know.

When you are a guy – I know that usually the last thing that you think about is going to be how you smell.  Well guys, I have to tell you that if you smell bad, you are not going to be able to get anyone to stay around you.  Whether it is your feet, your pits or even just you in general; that is what I am here for!  To guide you along and help make you smell better!

One of the first and most obvious things that you need to remember is that a shower is a really great way to get some of that stink off of you.  Just lather yourself up with some body wash that lingers and I can promise that the girls are going to flock to you!

You need to pay more attention to your face. Call attention to it. Draw the eyes to it. Make it stand out.

You know one of the best ways to do that? A hot pair of glasses. Give your eyes a break from the contacts sometimes. Glasses give you a great opportunity to express yourself. They can actually make you look fashionable and sophisticated, even if you are only wearing a comfortable tee shirt and your favorite pair of jeans.

If you can, it is best to have at least two pairs of glasses. One pair should be understated and subtle, the other pair can be a bit more fashion forward, a little bolder.

And if you do not need glasses to see, you can still use this trick. Just buy yourself some ultra cool shades.

Why is it that so many guys seem so afraid of adding a little color into their wardrobes?

Come on, guys; it’s 2009! Adopt the Skittles philosophy, taste the rainbow!

Seriously though — colors are a great way to jazz up your wardrobe without having to spend a ton of money, or a ton of time shopping.

You do not have to go crazy with it; no one is asking you to pretend to be one of the Rainbow Brite kids.

Simply by wearing a colorful tee shirt beneath a jacket or a vee necked sweater, you can give your wardrobe a new breath of life. A bright color makes a great addition to neutral tones — and it will keep you from looking boring.
