Alden Shoes: Monk Strap Oxford
For those who haven’t noticed yet, Monk Strap shoes are completely in at this point, probably being the most fashionable shoes to wear under any suit or formal outfit. Yes, they have an informal touch, but believe me, they won’t make you look un-classy.
The Monk-Straps I’m reviewing today are the Genuine Shell Cordovan Monk Strap Oxfords by Allen Shoes. Now, as you might know, Allen Shoes aren’t cheap. However, the quality is very, very good. You shouldn’t spend $500 on any shoe, but if your budget allows you to shop for quality foot wear, Allen Shoes is a sure bet for quality and class.
The Genuine Shell Cordovan Monk Strap Oxford shoes are no exception to that Alden Shoes standard. The leather feels great and the finishing is close to perfection. I’m a size 11, but my feet looked slim yet not too long in them. The only negative point on these shoes is probably the retail price of close to $500. You can get similar looking shoes for below $100, but remember: feet love leather.
